WITH Cheryl Fernandez-Versini as a mentor, it comes as no surprise that X Factor 2014 hopeful has tresses envied by many.

Resident hair stylist Jamie Stevens has revealed exactly how to get Lauren’s live show with three simple steps.

Step one: Preparation

This look works best on hair that has some natural-looking oomph so prep dry hair with TRESemme 24 Hour Body Blow Dry Lotion (RRP £5.50*), which also protects against heat damage and breakage, then roughly blow dry for textured hold.

Step two: The tricky bit

Use a round brush to blow dry hair smooth, before tonging two-inch sections of hair until all the hair is curled – for a modern finish, don’t curl the bottom inch of each section of hair. (At this stage, I added some clip-in extensions to Lauren’s shoulder length hair. If you wish to do the same, curl this hair too.)

Step three: The finishing touches

Sweep the hair over one shoulder, spritz with TRESemme Salon Shine Smooth Glossing Spray (RRP £4.99) and use a soft bristle brush to smooth any flyaways.
Spray with TRESemme Superior Hold Hairspray (RRP £4.99) to finish.
