EXCLUSIVE: Kerry Katona and George Kay discuss having another baby
Despite enduring a traumatic birth with her fifth child, Kerry insisted that she still wants more children – and George wants twins.
Speaking exclusively to OK! magazine, Kerry, 34, opened up about how her “best pregnancy” took a turn for the worst after giving birth to Dylan-Jorge.
She said: “It was very difficult when DJ was born, that was my lowest point. She was my fifth pregnancy and best pregnancy.
“All my results were perfect, even in the labour we were laughing and joking, and she came out and collapsed and was rushed to intensive care and my placenta erupted.
“It took longer for George to get over it than me. It was so traumatic.”
George added: “It’s not forgotten, but it’s not as raw as it was. For months afterwards, little things would remind me of it and I didn’t want any more kids ever again.”
But Kerry explained that time was the best healer and though George had his reservations about having another child, he is now set on expanding their family.
He said: “I want twins now.”
Asked if she felt the same, Kerry continued: “Not yet. We’re touring with Atomic Kitten next May and I’ve just got my figure back so maybe after the tour, but it depends on work.
“I don’t think I could cope with twins Atomic Kitten will take up most of the second half of next year, so maybe a year from now. I want a year off.”
